Electrocardiogram

An electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG)or heartmovie is a recording of the electrical activity of the heart over time produced by an electrocardiograph, usually in a noninvasive recording via skin electrodes.  An ECG provides information about your heart condition and function. During the examination, electric pulses emitted by the heart itself are measured. In this way your doctor acquires information about your heart rhythm and the supply of oxygen to the heart muscles.

During the examination electrodes will be attached to your chest, wrists and ankles. During the ECG it is important that you try to relax and do not move, this takes about 30 seconds.

You will receive the test results inmediately after the examination to take with you. We keep a copy in your file.
